We are pleased to announce that BuildOUT California Founder Victor M. Marquez has joined the internationally renowned legal firm of Nossaman, LLP. Victor join's Nossaman's Real Estate Group as a Partner in the San Francisco office.
Victor's practice focuses on residential and commercial real estate transactions, land use and zoning laws, real estate, business and general commercial litigation, state and local government relations and community outreach specialization in the context of land development and redevelopment for both private companies and nonprofit organizations.
He also assists clients on public policy and regulatory matters at the local, state, national and international levels. He represents client interests in the U.S., Mexico and Europe on regulatory and commercial matters, including in the areas of ESG mapping, monitoring, compliance and advocacy, particularly with manufacturers and suppliers in the supply chain systems.
During his career, Victor has been the recipient of a number of awards and honors. These include the Spirit of Excellence Award from the American Bar Association; the Lawyer of the Year Award from the S.F. La Raza Lawyers Association; and the San Francisco Bay Area Minority Bar Coalition Award. His extensive community service includes; Founder of BuildOUT California, Former National President of the Hispanic National Bar Association ("HNBA"); Former President & General Counsel of San Francisco La Raza Lawyers Association; Immediate Past Chair of the ABA Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity Commission ("SOGI") and a Pro-bono Attorney for the AIDS Legal Referral Panel.
