Gov. Newsom selects Alice Reynolds to serve as CPUC President



Build OUTCalifornia applauds Governor Gavin Newsom on the selection of Alice Reynolds to serve as President of the California Public Utilities Commission.


On Monday, November 22, 2021, Governor Gavin Newsom appointed Alice Reynolds to the post of President of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). Ms. Reynolds has been a key advisor to Governor's Newsom and Brown on energy issues and policy over the past decade and her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation.

"Ms. Reynolds has been a remarkable public servant to the citizens and businesses of California for many years already" stated BuildOUT California's President, Paul Pendergast. "Following confirmation, she will have a lot to address in terms of moving California forward on issues such as clean energy, affordable and reliable energy, and setting a reasonable goal of 1.5% utilization for LGBT businesses", he added.
