Caltrans Director for LA and Ventura Counties to Join the Transportation Working Group’s Launch of its Olympic Mobility Series on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at 8:00am (PDT).
BuildOUT California’s Transportation Working Group (TWG) has announced that Mr. Tony Tavares, Caltrans Director of District 7 which covers Los Angeles and Ventura counties, will be joining our roster of internationally recognized transportation executives for the launch of it’s Olympic Mobility Series this coming Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at 8:00am (PDT).
Mr. Tavares is an engineer and project management professional with over 30 years of experience at Caltrans.
Mr. Tavares oversees the freeway and highway system in LA and Ventura counties as well as the nearly 3,000 employees who design, construct, preserve and plan the system and administer its programs.
Caltrans District 7 consists of 25% of California’s population and has an annual construction program of over $2 billion. Prior to being appointed to District 7’s leadership position, Mr. Tavares was Director of Caltrans District 4 where he oversaw the transportation programs of the nine county San Francisco Bay Area.
