In honor of the mission/vision of Construction Inclusion Week we would like to shine the spotlight on our Founders: Turner Construction, Gilbane Building Company, Jacobs and Kitchell for their leadership, vision and 'heavy lifting' to develop BuildOUT California's historic virtual Job Fair taking place on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 which will open up quality jobs/internships for LGBTQ/Allied students in STEM and Construction-related curriculums.
"You can't underestimate the value and power of having companies like Turner, Gilbane, Jacobs and Kitchell really getting behind a first-of-its-kind event such as the Job Fair for LGBTQ/Allied students who are seeking access to opportunities with these industry leaders" stated BOC's President, Paul Pendergast. "Each of these companies have dedicated significant resources to make next week's Job Fair a great success. Because of their commitment and collaboration we are opening up the doors for LGBTQ/Allied students who previously didn't think they could bring their 'whole selves' to their interviews and jobs. This is what Construction Inclusion Week is all about - celebrating and lifting up a new wave of professionals to the A&E/Construction Industry" Pendergast added.
