BuildOUT California congratulates Ann Gray FAIA, FRICS, RIBA, as the newly installed President of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). We were honored to attend her investiture at the historic RICS offices in Parliament Square, London, on January 30, 2023.
Founded in London in 1868, RICS has over 134,000 certified members with offices in every significant financial market around the world. RICS influences policy and embeds their standards within local marketplaces to protect consumers and businesses.
Ann Gray is both a licensed architect and real estate broker based in Los Angeles, California. In 1995, she established Gray Real Estate Advisors providing consulting services to investors, property owners and attorneys to optimize the values of complex properties.
Ann previously directed corporate real estate at Paramount Pictures, a division of Viacom, where she oversaw property acquisition, master planning and the design of corporate and production facilities. During her tenure, the studio underwent technical upgrades, launched historic preservation strategies, and initiated sustainability standards.
BuildOUT California frequently collaborates with RICS in our combined efforts to increase the inclusion and utilization of LGBTQI professionals and entrepreneurs around the world in the Built Communities. Through these forward-thinking efforts the voice of BuildOUT California is translated into 19 different languages thanks to RICS’ global networks.
